On September, 21 2018, the Central Agricultural Library in Warsaw hosted a solemn reception on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia and the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Poland.
In this significant event, at the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Edgar Ghazaryan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Poland and his wife among politicians, diplomatic corps and public organizations were also representatives of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce.
In his welcoming speech, His Excellency Edgar Ghazaryan expressed gratitude to the ambassadors, ministers, representatives of economic self-government and religious organizations for their presence at this solemn reception. The speech also provides a brief overview of the current state of relations between Armenia and Poland and their importance in the life of both peoples.
His Excellency thanked the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Dudu, for the wonderful gift – the illumination of the Presidential Palace in Warsaw with the colors of the national flag of Armenia. It was emphasized that today in honor of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia the building of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw will also be highlighted by the colors of Armenia.
At the end of the welcome speech, the His Excellency announced the execution of the national anthems of Armenia and Poland. He performed them personally on a violin accompanied by an orchestra and a choir consisting of citizens of Armenia and Poland.
In connection with such an important date, the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce and personally Mr Marek Trachik conveyed to His Excellency the wishes of prosperity for Armenia and its people.
